Sericin (SER) is a protein mainly composed of glycine, serine, aspartic acid, and threonine amino acids removed from the silkworm cocoon (particularly Bombyx mori and other species). SER is a biocompatible material with economic viability, which can be easily functionalized due to its potential crosslink reactions. Also, SER has inherent biological properties, which makes possible its use as a component of pharmaceutical formulations with several biomedical applications, such as anti-tumor, antimicrobials, antioxidants and as scaffolds for tissue repair as well as participating in molecular mechanisms attributed to the regulation of transcription factors, reduction of inflammatory signaling molecules, stimulation of apoptosis, migration, and proliferation of mesenchymal cells.

An instrument capable of measuring quantitative and qualitative features of nuclear and cytoplasmic properties of a cell has the potential to detect cellular atypia. Instruments using flow cytometry have been detecting atypical cells in blood for a long time; yet instruments using the same methodology very lately developed this parameter in urinalysis.
Samples with an atypical cells value higher than 1 atypical cell/?L were included in the study. Besides automated urinalysis, every sample was reflexed to modular unit for digital imaging. The remainder of each sample was stained with Sternheimer dye and examined manually under a light microscope.
50 samples with higher than1 atypical cell/?L result were included in the study. Patients were composed of 43 females (86?%) and 7 males (14?%). The mean age was 47.12?±?19.45years. The median atypical cells value was 1.8/?L (95?% range 1.5-2.4/?L). Manual microscopic evaluation of the 50 samples showed atypical cells in 1 sample. The patient had papillary lesions on cystoscopy and pathology report informed a high grade urothelial carcinoma. Other 49 samples were negative for atypical cells in manual microscopy. They were crowded samples with leucocytes and squamous epithelial cells.

This was a cross-sectional study carried out within a period of 3months, from January to March 2020. Data was obtained using a structured questionnaire and laboratory analysis. The CareStart™ Pf Malaria HRP2 qualitative rapid diagnostic test was used for malaria diagnosis. The questionnaire was designed to collect information on respondent's socio-demographic characteristics, and the use of malaria preventive measures. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics, regression analysis, and Chi-square (and Fisher's exact) test.

Bioinformatics analysis was used to predict lncRNAs binding with miR-130a-3p. qRT-PCR was employed to detect the expression levels of miR-130a-3p and the miRNA-targeted lncRNA, and their clinical values in ccRCC were clarified. The lncRNA sponge potential of miR-130a-3p was assessed through dual-luciferase reporter assay and the biological effects of them were observed.
Colon cancer associated transcript 1 (CCAT1) directly interacted with miR-130a-3p and negatively regulated miR-130a-3p expression. CCAT1 was upregulated and miR-130a-3p was downregulated in ccRCC cell line and tissues (all P?&lt;?0.05).
